Fish pie

If you are a fan of fish, you will definitely love this dish. You can use any kid of fish you like. I made mine with trout and lots of veggies. You can find the recipe in the highlights. 

 

Ingredients 

  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 2 chopped onions 
  • 4 crushed cloves of garlic 
  • Minced ginger 
  • Dice whatever vegetables you fancy. I used broccoli, mushrooms, carrots & asparagus. 
  • 500 g of fish, I used trout 
  • Salt, pepper & dried herbs 
  • 1 tbsp of flour 
  • 1 cup of fish stock 
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream 

 

 

Instructions: 

 

  • Boil the potatoes, mash, add butter, 1 tbsp of cream & Parmesan cheese then set aside 
  • Cook onions, garlic & ginger in butter or olive oil. 
  • Add add your veggies & cook for 5-7 minutes 
  • Season with salt, pepper & herbs 
  • Add flour, fish stock. 
  • Cut the fish in cubes then add in the pan and cook for 2-4 minutes. 
  • Remove from heat then add the cream. 
  • In an oven proof dish add the fish mixture and let it cook for 10-15 minutes then potatoes on top. 
  • Sprinkle some dried herbs & bake in the oven at 200degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Enjoy it warm 🤩

 

What the kids can do:

- Chop the vegetables 

- Measure some of the ingredients and label them
