Creamy Chicken pasta

Creamy Chicken pasta

Its a delicious dish that everyone will love. You can skip the pasta if you wish. 

Ingredients:

  • 500g of chicken breast
  • 1 chopped onion 
  • 6 cloves of crushed garlic 
  • Broccoli 
  • spinach - you can use fresh or frozen 
  • cherry tomatoes 
  • mushrooms - I prefer the brown one to give you that earthy taste
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Fresh basil 
  • Grated cheese - I used Parmesan and cheddar cheese 
  • Feel free to add any other vegetables you like 
  • Salt, pepper and dried herbs - I use oregano, thyme, and basil 

 

Instructions:

  • Fry the chicken with butter or olive oil and slice them and keep aside. You don't need to fully cook them. 
  • In a skillet add butter, cook the onion and garlic. 
  • Add the mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes then add the tomatoes. 
  • Add the spinach and cook for a minute then add the chicken. 
  • Mix them slowly then add some cheese. Pour the cream and stir for a bit, add the broccoli and rest of the cheese. Add the basil, season with salt and pepper and dried herbs. 
  • Boil the pasta and use 1/4 of the pasta water in your creamy sauce. 
  • Add the pasta to the sauce, cover the skillet and cook on medium to low for 20 minutes. 
  • You can sprinkle some Parmesan before serving. 

 

What can the kids do:

  • After washing their hands and putting their Mumz Little Chefs hat and apron they can start by: 
  • Wash the vegetables

  • Measure the ingredients using Mumz little Chefs measuring cups
