Kids will love it and it's everyone's favourite. Easy to make and you can have it for lunch, dinner or as a snack. You can also pack it in the kid's lunchbox and they will enjoy it mess free.
Ingredients:
▫️ Two whole chicken boil & shred
▪️ 3 onions thinly sliced
▫️ 4 tablespoons of sumac
▪️ 1/4 cup of olive oil
▫️ salt & pepper
▪️ Saj bread (found in Lebanese, Iranian section)
▫️ Optional - shredded cheese
Instructions:
1️⃣ Boil the chicken (add salt, pepper, bay leaves & cinnamon stick)
2️⃣ Once chicken is ready, reserve a cup of the stock and shred the chicken
3️⃣ Add olive oil in a pan, cook the onion & add the chicken.
4️⃣ Add the sumac, salt, pepper & a cup of chicken stock and let its simmer for 5 minutes.
5️⃣ Line the bread, you can make it as small or as big as you like.
6️⃣ Add the chicken & roll it like a sandwich. If you are a cheese fan then you can add some shredded cheese
7️⃣ Place them in an oven tray and brush them with olive oil.
8️⃣ Stick them in the oven for 5 minutes on each side - enjoy them hot and crispy
